The way we work…

History / Reputation – DCL has experienced continuous growth since its inception in 1984 with the exceptional service shown to clients being the driving factor for DCL’s success.

Staff credentials – Each DCL pathologist is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic and clinical pathology. All our cytotechnologists are ASCP registered and are licensed by the states of California, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, and New York.

Lab Accreditation – DCL is approved by the CMS and licensed by the Departments of Health in California, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, and New York. We are also accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), and are one of only 53 cytology laboratories nationwide to be accredited by the American Society of Cytology, which is the most prestigious Cytopathology professional organization in the country.

Leadership

• DCL is viewed as a pioneer in new product introductions such as ThinPrep pap testing, HPV testing, and CT/NG direct from vial.
• As a recognized specialist in ThinPrep Pap Test evaluation, DCL is an approved training site for other labs seeking to offer the ThinPrep technology.
• DCL is presently involved in over 150 research protocols with major pharmaceutical companies that involve anatomic and molecular pathology services necessary for clinical trials of new drugs and technologies.

Impact

Specimen management has become a complicated and expensive administrative burden for clinicians. DCL now routinely provides a client service that simplifies this process. DCL can accept and process, as well as bill for, all specimens regardless of health care payor.

DCL continues to aggressively pursue the development and implementation of Direct From Pap Test Vial (DFV) capabilities because of the benefit realized by our clients.
