Dr. Michael Hanbury
President and CEO
Dr. Hanbury has over 25 years professional and associated corporate management experience in medical diagnostic and clinical laboratory sectors. Before joining DCL in January 2007, he was Corporate Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of Unilab Corporation, formerly the third largest reference laboratory in the country operating 51 laboratories producing over 35 million tests with revenue exceeding $600 million annually. Previously, Dr. Hanbury held Chief Operating Officer and Business Development roles in a number of emerging laboratories in California including AD Pathlabs and Westcliff Medical Laboratories. Previously, he held management positions in regulatory affairs at Roche Diagnostics, Roche Biomedical Laboratories and managed North American operations for an international device manufacturer. Dr. Hanbury completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia in Chemistry and graduate program in Clinical Pathology from the Medical College of Virginia. He also holds Masters Degrees in Clinical Chemistry and Business from Old Dominion University/Eastern Virginia Medical School and Central Michigan University, respectively.

Jack Bergstrom
Chairman of the Board
In 1997, Mr. Bergstrom was a key member of the three-person management team leading American Medical Laboratory (AML). Mr. Bergstrom was Executive Vice President of Business Development at AML while it became the nation’s third largest lab company, growing from $74 million in sales and break-even EBITDA to $300 million in sales and $40 million in EBITDA. Prior to AML, Mr. Bergstrom served as Senior Vice President of Sales for National Health Laboratory/Laboratory Corporation of America and Chief Operating Officer of Odyssey Biomedical, a venture-backed startup genetics testing company that was acquired by Genzyme in 1990. Previously, he spent 17 years at Corning Inc., in a variety of roles, including positions in finance, accounting, marketing and held national sales management positions for the Consumer Products Division and Metpath (now Quest Diagnostics).


Robert C. Dunn
Board Member
Bob Dunn is a managing director at Thompson Street Capital Partners, a $450 million private equity fund in St. Louis. Prior to joining Thompson Street, Bob Dunn spent three years as an Associate with TA Associates, a $10 billion private equity fund in Boston where he focused on technology and healthcare investments. Prior to TA Associates, he was a Financial Analyst at Hambrecht and Quist in New York, where he focused on mergers, acquisitions and public equity offerings in the healthcare services industry. Bob holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BA from Princeton University.

Mick Glant, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer
A founder of DCL, Dr. Glant is a nationally known cytopathologist with pioneering and ongoing work in fine needle biopsy (especially head/neck and lymph nodes). Dr. Glant also has strong experience in gynecologic pathology (cytology and surgical pathology) with special experience in endometrium (changes with HRT, SERMs, and SPRMs in FDA clinical trials), breast pathology (with related prognostic/diagnostic markers) and pathology informatics. Dr. Glant is board certified in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology with a subspecialty in Cytopathology.

Dr. Carol Eisenhut
Laboratory Director

Dr. Eisenhut has been a DCL pathologist for more than 17 years. Her expertise includes fine needle biopsy, breast, endometrial, cervical, prostate, urinary bladder and gyn cytology. She manages the pathology group and serves as the Vice President of Medical Operations and the Indianapolis Laboratory Director. Dr. Eisenhut’s ongoing practice also includes FDA trials for gyn pathology and breast. She is DCL’s primary molecular pathology and microbiology laboratorian. Dr. Eisenhut is board certified in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology with a subspecialty in Cytopathology.
